About the Resource Partnership

Improving Lives through Employment Since 1978

The goal of the Resource Partnership is to improve the quality of life of individuals with disabilities through employment, while providing a highly professional service to the business community.

The Resource Partnership assists individuals with a wide range of abilities, and disabilities, to obtain, maintain and advance in employment, consistent with their skill sets and qualifications and needs of the current labor market.

Additionally, the Resource Partnership assists companies to develop and implement practical and effective disability employment practices. We offer an array of professional consulting services in the areas of recruitment, retention, outplacement, education/training, and business-to-business networking.

Statistics

In the United States, over 54 million Americans, or 1 in 5 individuals, have a disability; this represents 20 percent of the American population.

Only 27.8 percent of working age people with work disabilities have jobs, compared to 76.3% of those without disabilities.
