The Resource Partnership was founded in 1978 as the Massachusetts Project With Industry, Inc. (MPWI) and has become a leading private employer-managed membership organization assisting both people with disabilities and employers in Massachusetts.
MPWI founders included leading members of the business community whose goal was to "champion the capabilities of people with disabilities" by forming relationships with other employers. Over the years, thousands of job matches were made, innovative programs were developed, educational seminars were successfully implemented, and a strong network of business partnerships formed. The Resource Partnership continued to grow through business corporate memberships and an outstanding Board of Directors.
Now, many years later, the Resource Partnership has become what the founding leaders envisioned - a thriving partnership organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities through employment, overseen and managed by the employer sector.
