BenePLAN Services
Making Work Possible

The BenePLAN program provides comprehensive benefits assessment, planning, and assistance to SSI and SSDI beneficiaries, their families and service providers in Massachusetts.

Employment and Your Social Security Benefits

If you are currently receiving Social Security benefits due to disability, you may have questions about returning to work. Our skilled and experienced Benefits Specialists can help you make educated employment choices by evaluating your current benefits and explaining how working will affect them.

Assistance with Social Security Disability Benefits, PASS Plans and other work incentives

Benefits Specialists are trained and certified by the Social Security Administration and offer assistance with:

  • Understanding how working will affect benefits such as Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare, Transitional Assistance, Public Housing, Workers' Compensation and more
  • Developing PASS plans, which can help you meet expenses to achieve your employment goal
  • Ongoing assistance to help you manage your benefits as you transition into employment
  • Information and referral on education, training, and rehabilitation services, including Employment Networks.

Benefits Planning, Assistance and Outreach services are made possible through a grant from the U.S. Social Security Administration. In Massachusetts and all other states, Social Security formed cooperative agreements with various organizations and agencies to provide benefits planning and assistance to SSI and SSDI beneficiaries under the Ticket to Work and Work Incentives Improvement Act of 1999.
